Moose is a handsome 8-year-old Silver Labrador Retriever weighing approximately 65 pounds, and he's looking for a peaceful forever home where he can enjoy the next chapter of his life. Moose came to ROOT Rescue as an owner surrender through no fault of his own. Although his life has changed dramatically, he has handled it with the gentle, easygoing personality that makes everyone fall in love with him. He isn't looking for excitement or adventure-he's simply looking for someone to love. The best way to describe Moose is a true gentleman. He has a calm, mellow temperament and is the ultimate couch potato. Whether you're watching a movie, reading a book, working from home, or simply relaxing after a long day, Moose is happiest just being nearby. He doesn't ask for much-just a soft place to lay down, a few leisurely walks, and someone to share his days with. Moose is the perfect companion for someone looking for a best friend rather than a high-energy dog. He enjoys spending time with his people and has a quiet, affectionate nature that makes him an easy addition to the right home. Moose is also dog-friendly. In his previous home, he happily lived with a smaller dog and has shown that he enjoys the company of respectful canine companions. He has been examined by our veterinarian, is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on his vaccinations. Senior dogs have so much love left to give, and Moose is no exception.
