About Bonnie

Please read before responding: We appreciate your interest in Bonnie!! When you respond please include information about yourself(family, home, yard/fence, other pets, work hours..) We also have an application at sparrowdogs.com which we need to move forward with any adoption. Thanks! This wee red headed lass we shall call Bonnie. And a Bonnie girl she is, full of spunk, playfulness and just a sprinkle of fire. She may be tiny but if another dog is invading her space or being to pushy she is not afraid to tell them to back off in her quite polite way. Just a few words and an ornery look is just enough to get her point across. When Bonnie first arrived in our foster home she was NOT comfortable with the other dogs, she would actually squeal and run away, and give her ornery look for them to back off. But, in just a short time she has come to be one of the crew and has accepted her new pals. She will actually run and play in the yard with them. But--she may need the same settling in time in her new home if there are current dogs. She does best with dogs that are not pushy or in her face. Bonnie was a little hesitant settling in with the people in the home as well, but who can blame her, she has been thru a lot. She was with a family that could no longer care for her, ended up in a large shelter and transferred to our rescue. We actually think she is doing fantastic, but she will need a family/person to understand that she may be skiddish when you first meet her. But--when she trusts you....she LOVES you!! You are her very best pal and she wants to spend every waking moment with you. She is a little love bug and will do well with a stay at home person, or someone that works at home. She is polite and quiet in the house, and so far not much of a barker. We again...guessing...Bonnie is perhaps a Yorkie mix, possibly mixed with Chihuahua? Perhaps some Border or Carin Terrier, possibly, she does have more of a wiry coat. Bonnie is about 10 pounds and just over 2 years old. She absolutely needs a best pal in human form, she is waiting for her next best buddy, she bonds very quickly. She can be a bit nervous and shy at first, but then she is all love and would enjoy being snuggled all the time! She has some fear with dogs that are a bit pushy. She is settling in with other dogs that are respecting her boundaries. She is an active girl and will be looking for an active home that will not leave her for long hours alone. She is very well mannered, seems housebroken and is a special girl! She should be fine with older children, no little ones. Bonnie's adoption fee is $325, please email Kristine at [email protected].
