She needs a foster or adopter to secure her spot on Mutt Life Dog Rescue's transport to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Saturday, August 15. A committed home is required for her to make the trip, and we're hoping someone will give this little girl the chance to blossom. Meet Vali Vali is a 2-year-old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix (breed is our best guess!) with the sweetest little face and the gentlest eyes. This adorable cream girl is understandably scared by the noisy shelter environment, but beneath her timid exterior is a dog who's simply looking for a safe place to land. Being in a shelter can be overwhelming, especially for a small dog like Vali. Right now she's shy and unsure of her surroundings, but she's not aggressive-just frightened and looking for reassurance. With a little patience, kindness, and a quiet home, we believe Vali's true personality will begin to shine. We are thinking she will be a different dog when she's out of the shelter. At just 10 pounds, Vali is the perfect size to be your little sidekick. She deserves a family who will let her settle in at her own pace, build her confidence, and show her that the world can be a safe and happy place. Vali has only recently arrived at the shelter, so she has not yet been officially dog, cat, or kid tested. Her bio will be updated as soon as those evaluations are complete. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option.
