Meet Forrest: A Sweet, Cuddly Lovebug Forrest is an absolute sweetheart who is fully devoted to his humans. He craves human connection, loves to snuggle, and thrives on routine. He previously lived with three children (ages 2-13) and simply wants a stable home where he can be a loyal companion. Forrest has had a rough start, and abandoned with me with clear signs of neglect. Despite this he has learned many basic commands. He is eager to learn via positive reinforcement and be someone's forever furbaby! Our family wishes we could keep him but we already have two dogs and simply do not have the time nor capacity to give Forrest the extra care he needs. His ideal environment would be best as an only pet, or a highly experienced multi-pet home. Forrest thrives when he doesn't have to share love or attention and would prefer to be your one and only animal in the home. If placed with another dog, the owner must have extensive experience managing resource guarding around other animals and supervising play. His play style needs work. When playing with other dogs, Forrest gets very excited quickly. He exhibits poor play boundaries due to lack of socialization, such as nipping at ankles and failing to stop when the other dog shows they are uncomfortable. He needs an owner who can step in and advocate for both dogs. He responds wonderfully to a predictable schedule. While he had a couple of accidents initially due to a past lack of structure, he has been 100% accident-free since being placed on a regular potty schedule.
