Jefferson Needs a Foster or Adopter by August 15 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin Jefferson is currently in a high-intake kill shelter in Georgia and needs a foster or adopter to secure his spot on Mutt Life Dog Rescue's transport to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Saturday, August 15. A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we're hoping someone will give this little guy the fresh start he deserves. Meet Jefferson Jefferson is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix (breed is our best guess!) with a bright future ahead of him. He came to the shelter after being seized from a neglect case, where he was living alongside multiple other dogs. Thankfully, those days are behind him, and he's finally getting the chance to experience the love and care every dog deserves. Despite everything he's been through, Jefferson is ready to start over. At just 8.6 pounds, he's the perfect little companion for someone looking for a pint-sized best friend. As he settles into the shelter, staff are continuing to get to know his personality, but one thing is certain-he deserves a family who will show him what a safe and loving home feels like. Because Jefferson came from a home with many other dogs, we believe he is likely dog friendly, but he will receive an official dog test at the shelter and we'll update his bio once those results are available. Age: 2 years Gender: Male Weight: 8.6 pounds Breed: Chihuahua Mix (best guess) Neutered: Yes Heartworm Status: Negative Potty Trained: Unknown Crate Trained: Unknown Leash Manners: Good Good with Dogs: Likely, official dog test pending Good with Cats: Not tested yet Good with Kids: Not tested yet Jefferson has already overcome so much and is ready for the happy ending he's been waiting for. If you can foster or adopt this deserving little guy, please apply today. www.muttlife.org
