We just found out last night that Gracie is at Baldwin Park Shelter and will be euthanized at any moment ���� We knew her at South LA by the name of Leslie. She was a sweet, young, playful girl. She was also a playgroup rockstar! She was designated a helper and greeter dog in playgroups at South. She was euth-listed in April for negative kennel behavior. Before we even had the chance to post her though, she was adopted and we were thrilled for her! We thought she would finally have the home a sweet, young pup like her deserved. She was adopted by someone who wanted to save her life, but whose plan was to rehome her. Fast forward less than 2 months after being adopted though, and she was dumped at Baldwin Park Shelter. We had no idea she was there until last night when we saw a networking post about her. We were so sad to find out she's living on borrowed time and will be killed at anytime now. Gracie is a young dog who has been in and out of the shelter. She needs a COMMITTED, RESPONSIBLE person who won't give up on her so quickly this time. She needs decompression, structure, and patience. Please remember the 3-3-3 rule whenever bringing a new dog home. It takes time for them to decompress, learn routines and rules, build trust, and finally feel at home. This girl deserves a loving home after being failed by people so many times.
