Meet **Millie**, a 1-year-old mixed breed spayed female with a joyful spirit and enough enthusiasm to brighten any home! This happy girl is full of personality, always ready to play, explore, and make new friends. If you're looking for an active companion who will keep you smiling, Millie might be your perfect match. Millie already knows **sit** (especially when treats are involved!) and comes when called. She is very food motivated, takes treats gently, and has no issues with finger nipping. Because she's still a young, energetic dog, she can become distracted on walks and may pull when she spots people or other dogs-she's simply excited to say hello! She would thrive with continued positive reinforcement training to help channel all that youthful enthusiasm. One of Millie's biggest strengths is how comfortable she is with handling. She happily allowed full-body handling, including having her paws, ears, tail, and collar touched. During her evaluation she thought much of the handling was part of a game, showing just how playful she is. She also showed **no signs of food guarding or possession aggression**, remaining completely comfortable with people interacting with her food bowl and valued items. Millie absolutely loves other dogs and is looking for canine friends who enjoy an energetic play style. She was eager to play with every dog she met and is considered **dog-friendly**. Her play style is best described as **high-energy and a little 'rude'**-she enjoys bouncing around, putting her paws on other dogs, and barking excitedly to invite play. When another dog corrected her for being too enthusiastic, Millie simply shrugged it off and kept her happy attitude. She would do best with playful, tolerant dogs that appreciate her outgoing personality or with an adopter committed to helping her polish her social manners. Millie also appears to have the potential to live successfully with cats. During her evaluation she approached politely, was easily redirected, and actually seemed hesitant to get too close, suggesting she may have previous experience with cats. She displayed no predatory behavior and was assessed as **likely cat friendly**, though, as with any new pet introduction, slow and supervised introductions are recommended. Millie is searching for an active family that enjoys walks, adventures, and plenty of playtime. With her affectionate nature, confidence, and eagerness to engage with both people and animals, she has all the ingredients to become an amazing lifelong companion. Give her an outlet for her energy, continue her training, and you'll be rewarded with a loyal, goofy best friend who is always ready for the next adventure. https://www.oconeecountyga.gov/forms.aspx?FID=80
