PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AT THE BOTTOM. Hi, I'm Mimi, a beautiful, sweet, affectionate, graceful, playful and loving four year, 50 pound cream and apricot Standard Poodle. Whew! I need to take a breath after all of those compliments! I am a very athletic girl that enjoys roaming the property, looking for tiny animals in the wood pile, chasing butterflies, running, drinking water from a creek, playing with other larger playful dogs, going for walks. I am not hyper; I just enjoy movement after a life where I did not have access to it. I also like naps, and I LOVE receiving and giving love. Mimi is fostered in Linn County, about an hour from Eugene, Sisters, Salem, Corvallis and Portland. We will meet part way for folks coming from afar. This girl is a top favorite foster dog out of many years of rescue. She is very special and lovable. Mimi is house trained, rides well in the car, and is off leash recall trained. She seeks a home with active, gentle, sensitive and mushy hearted folks who are not gone long hours. She needs a good sized yard with a minimum 5 foot fence. She . Mimi has 10-14 years of life left and we want her to spend it all in one forever home with her adopters. This girl has come light years in rescue and now enjoys attention from both women and gentle men. Given a hard past, we seek folks who are experienced with rescue dogs who have known neglect. That said, Mimi is close to completely overcoming her past and is a different dog from the scared girl that arrived months ago. She is still working on walking easily on a leash. Mimi is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, fecal tested negative, and groomed. Her adoption fee is $600. A great home and must haves for Mimi include: 1. An owned home with a 5 foot minimum securely fenced full sized yard. She will clear a four foot fence for fun, and her exercise needs rule out a smaller yard. 2. A primary handler who is female and men in the home who are gentle and interested in her. 2. Folks not gone long hours. 3. People who treat their pets as family members, allowing them on furniture and including them on outings. 4. Adopters who are loving, gentle and patient, and who are experienced rescue dog owners. We want folks who will focus on loving her as she is, rather than expecting her to conform to their needs. She is very easy to love. 5. Folks who know and are prepared for the cost of grooming, vet care and good nutrition. 6. Active people who deally do outdoor activities, go on trips or enjoy walks. 7. A no crate home. 8. Mimi has been allowed to sleep on the human bed here, and we would like that to continue. She will also take up residence on a chair to sleep, if bed sleeping does not work.
