About Dexter

Dexter is an amazing, loving dog who loves people, cuddles, food, and walks. Unfortunately, Dexter is a reactive dog who has been aggressive toward other dogs. I have had him on medication, worked with the top animal behavioral specialist in our state, and done everything I could to help him over the nearly seven years I've had him. Despite all of our efforts, he has attacked our other dog several times, and I have made the heartbreaking decision to find him a home where he can be the only pet and receive all the love and attention he deserves. We even explored the possibility of euthanasia because of his behavior, but our veterinarian agreed that Dexter is a wonderful dog who simply needs to be the only animal in the home. I have given him the best life I could for the past seven years, but I have to accept that holding onto the hope things will get better is hurting both him and my other dog.
