Dash for Cash 'Cash' is a 2 year old male Corgi. Cash is a sweet boy, loves attention and has done well with other dogs of similar size. Cash is looking for a very specific home that will be able to commit to his medical needs. Cash has EPI 'Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency'. What this means is that Cash doesn't make the enzymes necessary to breakdown food into essential nutrients for his body to thrive. When Cash came to us he was barely 18 pounds and very thin. He is a smaller Corgi and we don't expect him to get over 25 pounds once he's at a good weight. Cash now has a good care plan in place that his new adopters will just need to continue with for his lifetime. Cash needs to have pancreatic enzymes added to all his meals. He currently is also on Vitamin B 12 injections. He may not need to stay on these for his lifetime but may need to for a few months. It's possible he can be weaned to an oral B12 he can take with meals once his gut is better healed. He also needs a special fiber and probiotic added to his meals 1-2 times a day. He cannot have chicken or any products with chicken in them. He is on a limited ingredient lamb kibble and we will recommend he stay on that particular food now that he is doing well. Treats will need to be in limited amounts and he can only have dehydrated liver or lung bits. He's tolerated both lamb and beef with these treats. Cash is house and crate trained, will walk on leash and is a good car rider. Cash is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and on preventatives. He is a very special boy looking for that very special family who can love him and provide him the extra care he needs to thrive.
