The shelter is often FULL, which means perfectly good dogs end up being euthanized due to lack of space!!! The numbers are steeply rising again at the shelter, so please HELP, if can. Which dogs are chosen to meet a tragic ending is a crapshoot. Ersa arrived at the shelter as a lost dog on July 15th, sadly no one has come to claim her. She has a 'handling' video with a volunteer, which shows her to be somewhat nervous, which is not surprising, since shelter environments for Huskies, more than most other breeds, can be even more stress inducing. She is friendly, but appears to be most interested in searching for a way out of the outside enclosure, which again, not surprising considering the breed. Ersa met a Pit Bull type mix on leash at the shelter, she did very well, even when the other doggie got pretty wild on her, Ersa completely kept her cool. She was not observed to pull on her leash when meeting the other dog. PLEASE email to arrange meeting this very pretty girl and also if would like to see the videos. She appears to be a very good girl. If want to see other wonderful dogs, who are also in great need of finding a loving home, scroll down & click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', left-hand side. Come. Please.
