Sunspreckel showed up in a good Samaritan's yard in the Inland Empire on July 15 and no one in the neighborhood claimed her. Sunspreckel is currently taking applications. This little girl is ready to light up your life with her bright, shining, sparkly, spreckelly (is that a word) personality! She's got that youthful energy as she zooms around the room and through her tunnel. Sunspreckel is on the lookout for her forever home, and she's ready to illuminate any household ready for her radiant charm. She's all about those head scratches and cheek rubs. Picking her up for loving is a piece of cake. She's too young to spay right now but she's available on a foster-to-adopt basis. She can be spayed in October, November or December. She would need to be brought back to the rescue for 1-2 days for transport to her spay appointment. The adoption would be finalized after her spay surgery. She has an estimated date of birth of May 1, 2026. As of August 1 she weighs exactly three pounds. Let's not keep this brilliante beauty waiting too long; let's make her dreams come true! Sunspreckel should be housed in an exercise pen or free roam. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is always open and an exercise pen placed around it. (Nylon, pop-up playpens are not recommended as a rabbit will chew right through it!) Please be over 21 if inquiring about Sunspreckel. Rabbits are a 10+ year commitment. Sunspreckel can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you've never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
