About Pluto

Pluto is a friendly, high energy hound mix who we adopted in August 2025. He is good with both dogs and humans and is always excited to meet new people. We love Pluto and want him to love us but we have been struggling with his guarding behavior since January 2026. TRAINING AND BEHAVIOR: Pluto has received formal professional training for his reactivity and guarding. He walks very well on slack leash. Pluto is considered high energy (he is a puppy after all!) and loves to play outside, go for long walks, and play with other dogs. He would be a great companion for hiking, camping, swimming, and generally being outdoors. WHAT PLUTO NEEDS: Pluto needs a home with strong leadership in an owner who is experienced with his breed. Pluto is generally submissive to other dogs and would likely do well in a home with another dog as a companion. We know in the right situation, Pluto will be a great dog and wonderful companion.
