Rue is in a situation that has nothing to do with his choosing. He was adopted from a local shelter 5 years ago. Now his owners no longer want him because of their busy lives. They now have a toddler(which Rue is great with) and another baby on the way. He used to be an inside dog but now he has been put outside because of the new house. There is no yard for Rue to run around in. He has become a burden to them and now they are planning on taking him back to the shelter after 5 years. Our shelter is a high kill shelter. They will be serving Rue his death sentence if they owner surrender. Rue has needed an ACL repair for over two years now but the owners have not had the time to deal with it. Another reason he will be euthanized immediately. The owners have the money and have agreed to pay for his surgery. He is not lame and gets around, runs and plays like nothing is wrong. He has had to learn how to adapt. Please help me save Rue!
