About Trixie

Trixie is the ultimate hound with a nose that's always on the move and a heart just as big as her curious nature. She's a natural explorer who loves following a good scent trail, taking in the world one sniff at a time. For Trixie, every walk is an adventure! Once she's satisfied her sense of discovery, Trixie is more than happy to slow things down and show off her affectionate side. She loves leaning into her favorite people for pets and attention, soaking up all the love she can get. It's the perfect balance of adventure buddy and cuddle companion. Trixie is still learning to feel comfortable sharing her favorite treats, so any children in her new home are required to be age 10 or older so they can understand and respect her boundaries. With patience and consistency, she'll continue to build confidence and positive habits. Trixie has shown that she can be selective of the other dogs she shares her space with. If her potential adopters already have a canine companion at home, an introduction at the shelter will be required to see if Trixie and her new friend will be a good match.
