George's rescue was nothing short of a miracle. One Sunday, a veterinarian felt the unexpected pull to stop by his office. He wasn't sure why he felt the need to go in, but when he arrived, he found George inside an enclosed cardboard box. George was in heartbreaking condition. He was covered in so many fleas that his blood levels were affected, leaving him dangerously vulnerable. Trapped inside that box, especially in the summer heat, he would not have survived much longer. But someone was looking out for him that day. By the grace of God, George was found in time.
