��%BD��%BDs��%BD Urgent Rescue Needed - Velma ��%BD��%BDs��%BD Velma is a beautiful young Great Dane who urgently needs a rescue or experienced adopter. She is extremely underweight, scared, and overwhelmed by the shelter environment. Despite her fear, she has allowed necessary veterinary handling and medical care, and she is now medically cleared. In her kennel, Velma often retreats, growls, or freezes when approached. Shelter staff have observed moments of softer body language, gentle tail wags, and signs that she may be capable of building trust with patient, slow introductions. The stress of the shelter has been significant enough that she has been receiving anti-anxiety medication. Velma needs a calm, quiet environment and an experienced home or rescue willing to give her the time, space, and decompression she desperately needs. The shelter setting is not allowing her true personality to shine, and her future depends on finding someone willing to see beyond her fear. Velma is currently under rescue review and needs immediate placement to save her life.
