NO Known Medical Issues. Currently on PURINA ONE LAMB AND RICE mixed with Puppy Chow food. ASSESSMENT SO FAR::: Lucy Lu Who is so incredibly sweet, kind, loving, playful and overall, a very happy little girl. She does have Separation Anxiety issues due to just losing the only family that she has ever known and coming into our Rescue, but she is doing absolutely amazing. She lives inside the house with us as part of the family and is our foster child. She has very good indoor manners. I have seen absolutely NO issues with any destructive behaviors whatsoever. She did stand up to our island in the kitchen to smell yummy food, so I will continue to work with her on that. I've also noticed that she tries to take too many pieces dry kibble at one time and then chokes, and spits it out and then eats one bite at a time, so I will work with her on that as well. She does NOT gorge food, we Free Feed here and she goes to it when she wants a couple bites and then walks away, but she just tries to put too many pieces in her mouth at once. Her previous people thought it was because she needed a raised food bowl, but my assessment is its because she's putting too many pieces in her mouth at once. I've had several puppies do this and then they learn eventually to stop putting so many pieces in their mouth and that will improve. No signs whatsoever of any type of food aggression, she eats in the same bowl the other dogs eat and they drink together, everything seems absolutely great with her. She's had a complete check up with the vet and seems very healthy with no issues. She has healthy poop and overall seems pretty much potty trained. Has had a few accidents in the house overnight, but that is 100% to be expected due to anxiety/nervous stomach. Lucy will thrive best in a loving home preferably WITH kids old enough to know how to respect a shepherd's boundaries, but will also like to play with her when she's ready to play, WITH other playful dogs, (she can roll around and play with other dogs all day long until she's ready to take a nap). She plays hard with the other dogs and then comes in the house and lounges around on the couch ready to take a nap. WHY YOU'LL LOVE LUCY: Sweet & affectionate. Happy, loving, playful and thriving. Good with kids and other dogs. We don't have cats, but young enough to acclimate to living with cats if needed. She did previously live with cats and did well, she was curious but not at all aggressive towards them. Smart and learning fast. Raised with love and care. Ready to bond deeply with her Person.
