About Loki

Loki was found running alongside a highway in California's High Desert. He had no microchip, and despite efforts to locate his family, no owner was found. Neighbors shared that Loki had survived on the streets for years, relying on caring members of the community for food. An experienced foster stepped in to keep Loki and his canine companion safe. Two years later, they are still waiting for the permanent homes they deserve. LOKI - GERMAN SHEPHERD Approximately 6 years old �'ۢ 70 pounds �'ۢ Neutered Loki is a gentle, loving dog with a sweet, soulful personality. He walks beautifully on leash and loves going for walks. He is dog-friendly, though he would likely be most compatible with female dogs. Loki is house-trained and will bark to let you know when he needs to go outside. He is also crate-trained, although he does not need to be crated. Mealtime is one of his favorite parts of the day, and he greets it with plenty of enthusiasm! Loki is bonded with a fellow former stray, a Siberian Husky. Finding them a home together would be wonderful, but Loki can also be adopted separately. After surviving life on the streets, both dogs are independent and adaptable while still deeply enjoying affection and companionship. Loki is currently located in Southern California. Out-of-state adoption is available, and transportation can be arranged throughout the contiguous United States. His new home must have a secure, fenced yard.
