About Bean

We rescued adorable little Bean (also known as Beanie Boy or Beanjamin) in 2020 from Texas and he has been SUCH a great dog. He looks almost like a dachshund mix with his long body and curly tail. He is part pekingnese, pitbull, chihuahua, poodle, cocker spaniel, and boxer. He enjoys going on long walks, but he loves cuddling under a blanket with his people most of all. He is such a sweet companion and would prefer to be in your lap whenever possible once he gets to know you. He's a smart, food-motivated boy who learns quickly and loves to show off a good trick (he can roll over and play dead, among other skills!). Bean has lived with other small dogs just fine, but larger dogs tend to bring out his 'I'm the boss'-side. We are unsure about cats. He would do better in an adults-only home. He has shown a lot of anxiety around young kids, and that's the only reason we are trying to find a new home for him. We really are heartbroken to say goodbye to him.
