About Theodore

Meet Theodore Theordore is a terrific young cat. After a year in a home, he was returned recently when his adopters no longer cared to have him. We are so happy that Theordore is back with us. When he first came back, he was sad, uncertain and defensive, but after a couple of weeks knowing that he is safe and loved, Theodore is returning to be the happy cat we always knew him to be. When he feels safe, he is a fun-loving, goofy boy. Theodore will do best in a quiet home where people and children are gentle and kind, where they play with him and not tease him. He welcomes pets and will happily crawl into a lap for some snuggles. He loves chasing toys and loves to play. He is doing well with the other kitties but prefers to be around kitties that do not challenge him. Theodore has had to stick up for himself his whole life, ever since he was a tiny kitten. He deserves to live a life free of stress and strife; a life where he can be himself and your best companion. Theodore is a wonderful, friendly young kitty. We adore him and know you will too. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
