About Dixie

This lovely red girl is Dixie. She is a petite girl who weighs 30 pounds and is about 4-5 years old. Dixie knows several basic commands, including: Sit, Stay, Come, Paw, and Eat. She is very smart and enjoys learning. She is also house and crate trained. Dixie is a very gentle dog who is shy around new people. New people can give a little time and patience to build trust. She continues to gain confidence every day in her foster home. Dixie does very well with both large and small dogs. She has a sweet, submissive personality and enjoys the company of other dogs. She is used to a rural environment and can grow comfort to be in a not too busy neighborhood. Dixie is one of the sweetest, gentlest dogs. She has learned to enjoy sleeping on a couch, being gently petted, eating from a proper bowl, and feeling safe in a home. Every day she becomes a little braver, and it's been incredibly rewarding to watch her personality bloom. She is smart, affectionate, submissive, and incredibly deserving of a family that will continue helping her grow. Once she trusts you, she is a truly wonderful companion. Dixie is spayed, microchipped, started on puppy vaccines. She is located in Barstow, CA, and is ready to meet adopters who are able to come here to meet and adopt.
