Bree is a snuggly love-bug who dreams of finding her forever home! She is a cuddly, intelligent, and deeply affectionate dog. Once you become one of her 'safe people,' she forms a deep bond, following you from room to room, curling up on the couch, and snoring happily while you rub her belly. | Bree loves sunbathing, exploring safe enclosed outdoor spaces at her own pace, and engaging her mind. She is a total foodie who works enthusiastically for string cheese or treats she can catch in midair! She loves puzzle feeders, treat-dispensing toys, and cardboard box foraging games. | Ideal Home: Bree thrives on routine and predictability. Busy, noisy, unpredictable environments, especially apartment and city living, are overwhelming for her. Her current placement is a busy apartment with lots of goings on that make her anxious. Her ideal forever home is in a quiet neighborhood with a yard where she can be the only pet. She longs for the quiet life! | Training & Reactivity: Bree is eager to learn and knows commands like 'sit,' 'stay,' 'down,' and 'wait' and is building up to 'heel.' She walks well on harness most of the time and is learning emergency redirect commands. | Bree is reactive toward strangers and other dogs. She has two known bite incidents (April and July 2026) triggered by 'stranger danger' in overwhelming situations. Neither resulted in serious injury, but she did break skin. Understanding her triggers, maintaining a calm environment, and using safe management strategies are key to her success. The Humane Society said since this is their second placement for her, Bree would be put to sleep if we take her back to them. She is not a bad dog, she needs calm and patient love. | Health & Wellness General Health: Healthy, spayed, microchipped, flea/tick-free & up-to-date on vaccinations. Diet: Removing chicken from her diet helped with skin irritation. Medication: 100 mg Trazodone nightly for noise sensitivity, plus probiotics, omega-3s & joint supplements. | Bree is deeply loyal, affectionate, and adored by her current caregiver, trainer, and vet staff. With the right quiet home and patient love, she will be an amazingly devoted companion! She is so charming and sweet, we know you will fall in love with her too!
