About Sir Duke

Meet Duke Duke's journey hasn't been an easy one. When he first arrived in rescue, it was clear he had been neglected for far too long. Instead of receiving the care and companionship every dog deserves, Duke had spent much of his life without the stability of a loving home. Despite everything he endured, he never lost his gentle heart or his willingness to trust people. Today, Duke is a healthy, happy boy who's ready to leave his past behind and begin the life he's always deserved. Don't let his size fool you-Duke is a true gentle giant. He has a calm, affectionate personality and loves spending time with his people. Whether he's relaxing by your side, enjoying a long walk, or soaking up belly rubs, Duke is happiest when he's part of the family. He forms strong bonds with the people he loves and is always eager to offer a wagging tail and a warm welcome. As a Belgian Malinois / Shepherd Mix, Duke combines the intelligence and loyalty of the Malinois with the affectionate, people-oriented nature of the Shepherd. He's a smart dog who enjoys having a job to do, learning new things, and staying active, but he also has a wonderfully soft side that shines through once he settles in with his family.
