About Halle

Meet Halle, Halle came to us under incredibly heartbreaking circumstances. She lost the only home she had ever known after her beloved owner passed away, leaving her with nowhere else to go. Everything familiar disappeared in an instant. Her best friend was gone. Her cozy bed was gone. Her favorite toys, her daily routine, and the comfort of home were suddenly replaced with the unfamiliar sounds of a busy shelter. Halle is understandably heartbroken. She is learning how to cope with such a big change, and while she often chooses to hide, it's easy to see that beneath her uncertainty is an incredibly gentle, loving soul. Although Halle is estimated to be over 6 years old, she is proving that you can teach an older dog new tricks. She had never walked on a leash before coming to us, so it was a scary new experience. But every day she grows a little braver, and she is doing an amazing job. She absolutely adores people and enjoys spending time with those who are patient and kind. We know she will continue to thrive in a quiet, loving home where she can finally relax. As with any new pet, we recommend slow, calm, and respectful introductions to help everyone adjust successfully. Halle isn't looking for sympathy, she's looking for a second chance. She is looking for someone who will see beyond her age and understand that she still has so much love left to give. She deserves another warm bed, another family to call her own, and another chance to spend her golden years surrounded by love. It isn't Halle's fault that she's here.
