Freya is a 6 month old Belgian Mal/ German Shepherd mix. She was originally a foster from the local shelter, however I have been having difficulty finding her a home. My wife and I ended up adopting her ourselves whilst we sought her a forever home. She is great with kids; I have a 5 year old, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is very high energy, which has worked out great since we have active children as well as 2 other high energy German Shepherds, a 3 year old female and 9 year old male. We have a decent sized yard for her to run around. She is well socialized, however we are working on her with her jumping. She goes out in public with us all of the time, specifically to stores like Home Depot, PetSmart, or any other store that allows animals/ pets. We are skeptical about finding her a home in El Paso, as our last foster dog was dumped in the desert a few months after her adoption. We always ensure to do our due diligence and vet adoption candidates. Although our last foster's adopters seemed like a loving family with plenty of accommodations for the dog, we recently discovered this wasn't the case. My wife and I will be EXTREMELY selective of where Freya goes home to. El Paso has a horrible stray dog, abuse, and abandonment issue. Homes out side of the El Paso and Las Cruces area would likely be the best fit for Freya.
