Meet OAKLEY, a handsome, affectionate Husky with a heart as big as his smile, and a personality that seems to say, 'Where are we going, and can all my friends come too?' Oakley has been waiting for his forever home since December 2024. But thanks to his foster family, we've had the chance to see exactly what kind of dog he can be outside the shelter environment. And what we've learned is pretty special. A HUSKY WHO CAN HANDLE A HALLOWEEN PARTY? YES, REALLY! Oakley's foster family took him to a community Halloween event filled with children in costumes, other dogs, crowds, music, activity, and excitement. Oakley absolutely shined. He calmly greeted small children in their costumes, happily wagged his tail around other dogs, and soaked up attention from everyone he met. Crowds? Fine. Music? Fine. Kids in strange costumes? Fine. Other dogs? Bring on the friends! Oakley simply enjoyed being part of it all. That experience tells you something important about this boy: Oakley genuinely loves being included in life. PLAY GROUP ROCKSTAR: Oakley is good with dogs and has earned the wonderful title of Play Group Rockstar. He enjoys canine company and knows how to have fun with his four-legged friends. If you're looking for a dog who can enjoy playtime, outings, adventures, and an active social life, Oakley may be your guy. JUST ADD WATER! Oakley is also a certified water lover. Whether it's splashing, playing, or simply joining you for outdoor adventures, this boy is happiest when life is interesting and there's something fun happening. LOOKING FOR AN ADVENTURE BUDDY? Oakley would do best in an active home where he can exercise, play, explore, and most importantly, be part of the family. At 55 lbs, he's a great size for someone looking for an athletic companion without an enormous dog taking over the entire couch... Although Oakley may have opinions about how much of that couch technically belongs to him.
