Cade is seriously in need of a new home! He is such a good fella and truly deserves a great home. Unfortunately I am allergic to him: He gives me headaches and causes me to get a bloody nose. All we want is for him to be safe, healthy, and happy. He was very abused before showing up as a stray at our house. I found him outside trying to get to the turkey fryer pot. I took him to the vet the next day. The vet said he was about 6 months old & was 20 lbs under weight. We got him his shots & started trying to find his owner. After having no luck finding his owner, we decided to let him stay. I took Cade back to the vet, had him neutered & a thorough exam to include x-rays of his hips. I noticed he had what looked like small polka dot hair discolorations on his hips. I assumed he had been shot with a shotgun. Turned out he had been shot but not in the hips. The vet said the x-rays showed a belly full of pellets. The vet also said he had 5 teeth broken off at the gum line and was heart worm positive. The vet pulled the broken teeth and we had him treated for heart worms. It's been almost 4 years now. He is current on his shots; has completed heart worm treatments, is great with women and kids, and loves our other dogs. I have potted plants all over the porch. I decorate for all the holidays. Cade does not mess with any of my stuff. Is he perfect, nope. He will kill and eat wild rabbits.. He is afraid of thunder and gun shots, but if I let him inside, he calmly lays down and is fine. Cade walks on a leash when out of the fenced yard; loves to ride on a side by side or in the trailer behind the 4 wheeler. He needs to have a fenced yard. He really needs a home; deserves a home, where he can be loved and one of the family. Not just a yard dog who watches the other dogs go in and out of the house while he's left outside. I've noticed that he seems to be getting depressed and doesn't get up every time I go outside anymore. I feel so bad for him. I can't change my allergies and they seem to get worse every time I try to bring him in. It is why we have an AussieDoodle. I'm trying to do what is best for my health and for Cade. Please let anyone you know that loves dogs and is kind/gentle know. He truly deserves a good home. I am willing to drive him almost anywhere. Sincerely asking for help for this sweet fella %BD%BD%BD%BD
