About Wiley

Wiley is a mix breed and has high energy. He loves to shred his toys and get the squeaker. His favorite thing to do is run! He LOVES to run, and to me, he is fast! He will chase a ball and sometimes bring it back. He is fearful of people and other dogs, but not aggressive. I take him to the dog park and he will sniff the little dogs but any others he will shy away from. He does the same with people. He found us as he was lost and I took him to the Humane Society hoping his owners would find him. Noone claimed him and he was so scared he was showing aggression and wouldn't let anyone come near him. I luckily called in time to check on him and he was put on the euthanasia list and I couldn't let them put him down. Although he is scared, he is such a good, loving dog. He loves to cuddle, he loves to be called a good boy, run, chase balls, and play with his two other dog siblings. He can be destructive when he gets bored. He has dug holes in the yard. He's never dug to get out, but he has a good nose and likes to dig. He found a child's sock 1ft underground once. He has gotten bored and chewed the carpet on the rounded part of the stairs. He has gotten better about a lot of his quirks. I don't think he was ever indoors prior to him finding us. A good home for him would be in an active home where he can get his energy out. He listened well and I personally think he would do well on a ranch working with his humans. We have a cat but she doesn't like dogs and he is very interested in her and used to run at her, but he doesn't do that anymore and will sit nicely when she walks by and pretends to not look at her. He's a wonderful boy who needs someone to spend time with him and keep him active. If you are looking for an active dog that can also chill out he is perfect for you. He is great with kids and gentle with them. Crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands.
