Lima, Ohio (willing to drive up to 4 hours). 1.5 Y/O MALE GSD (DOB: 12/15/24). His name is 'Tucker.' Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Tucker for a little over a year after getting him from a relative's litter. UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. Good with kids. Tucker currently lives with children ages 6, 7, 7, and 11. Good with dogs. NOT Good with cats. Tucker currently lives with two cats and must be kept separated from them. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: Tucker has one Undescended Testicle. The Current Shepherd Parent's veterinarian has advised that it is not causing any complications at this time and that it is safe to leave him unneutered if desired. If he is neutered in the future, it is recommended that the undescended testicle be corrected during the neuter surgery. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: None disclosed. ENERGY LEVEL: High. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: High. Weighs 95 lbs. Currently on Retriever Choice Chops food. Good with car rides?: Yes. Socialized with: People?: Yes. Dogs?: Yes. Good with meeting new people? Loves: Hard chew toys, hard chew bones, pig ears, cow hooves, balls, walks, jogging, running, playing fetch, cuddling, relaxing on the couch, playing with kids, playing with other dogs, sleeping in bed with his person, and being close to his Person. Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): No. Tucker needs continued Recall Training before ever being trusted off leash. Good on a Leash?: No. He will benefit from continued Leash Training and consistency. Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: None disclosed. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Tucker is a wonderful dog with a beautiful soul who seems to want nothing more than to perform and please. He's highly intelligent (but still goofy) and almost seems to read your mind during training, reading the room and the situation and often times beating you to the punch.' Re Homing because�'�|: The Current Shepherd Parent has had major life changes and had to move into a small trailer with no yard or enough space for Tucker to truly thrive. He is also being crated for 10 + hours a day due to schedules. The Current Shepherd Parent feels this is not a good quality of life at all for Tucker and wants him to find a great home so that he can truly thrive.
