PLEASE HELP ME SAVE HER!!! Falmouth, Kentucky (willing to drive up to 100 miles). 5.5 Y/O FEMALE Long-Haired Black GSD (DOB: 9/9/2021). Her name is 'Moxie.' Background: Current Shepherd Parent's ex husband got Moxie when she was weaned. NOT UTD on shots WITHOUT record. NOT Fixed. NOT Good with kids. Moxie is very REACTIVE toward people she does not know. She currently lives with a 17-year-old and does well, but she is very nervous around strangers. NOT Good with dogs. She has attacked the household Chihuahuas. She has been around a medium/large-breed dog and did fine, but her behavior with unfamiliar larger dogs is still largely UNKNOWN. NOT Good with cats. NOT House trained. Moxie currently lives outdoors in a securely fenced backyard. NOT Crate trained. She has never been crate trained and currently lives outside. Any known medical issues?: No known medical issues disclosed. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: None disclosed. ENERGY LEVEL: High. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: High. Approximately 100 lbs. Currently on Pedigree food. Good with car rides?: No. She becomes very nervous and gets car sick. Socialized with: People?: No. Dogs?: No. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): No. Moxie is very REACTIVE toward strangers. Proper Introduction, patience, and continued training are essential. Loves: Bones, playing fetch, carrying sticks, walks, being near her person, chew bones, and chew toys. Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): No. Good on a Leash?: No. Moxie has lived primarily in a fenced backyard and has not been worked with on leash skills. Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: None Disclosed. *Moxie has attacked goats while attempting to protect her person. She has also attacked the household Chihuahuas. Her behaviors appear to be rooted in high prey drive, territorial instincts, and a lack of socialization and training.
