%90%BE Bear isn't just looking for a home-he's looking for his adventure buddy. %9D%A4%8F Bear is approximately 2 years old and, based on his brother's DNA results, is believed to be primarily an Australian Cattle Dog and Border Collie mix. If you know and love herding breeds, you'll probably fall in love with Bear. He's incredibly smart, loyal, affectionate, and happiest when he gets to be part of whatever you're doing. One of our favorite moments with Bear was taking him to a huge off-leash natural area filled with prairie grass, streams, and open space. The second he saw the tall grass, he took off running, bouncing, and pouncing through it with pure joy. It was like watching him do exactly what he was born to do. Seeing him so happy made us realize that his perfect home isn't just a house-it's a place where he can explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors alongside his people. %9D%A4%8F A few things we absolutely love about Bear'| %90 He adores other dogs. Recently he spent a week with an older male dog, and the two quickly became inseparable. They played together, slept beside each other, and were happiest simply being around one another. %90 He's great with cats. He's curious when he first meets them and may invite them to play, but if they aren't interested, he happily respects their space. ٤%A0 He's incredibly intelligent and eager to learn. He's currently working on his manners like waiting patiently at doors and waiting for meals, and he picks up new commands amazingly fast. Z%BE He has fantastic recall and loves supervised off-leash adventures. | If you turn on a sprinkler'|well'|you may not see him again for a couple of hours. He absolutely loves chasing the water, splashing around, and entertaining himself. It's one of his favorite things in the world. 'ە%8F He also loves stretching out in the sunshine after a fun day outside. Z We were pleasantly surprised by how well he handled the Fourth of July. While fireworks were going off, Bear stayed calm, relaxed, and simply stayed close to his person, quietly keeping an eye on everything. His instinct wasn't fear-it was loyalty. Bear is crate trained, house trained, neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on his vaccinations. He currently sleeps peacefully overnight in his own room with a crate, dog beds, and even a toddler bed. Because Bear is such an intelligent dog, he thrives when his mind and body stay active. Like many herding breeds, if he doesn't have enough exercise or mental enrichment, he'll happily invent his own entertainment. Give him adventures, training, puzzle toys, another playful dog, or even just a sprinkler, and you'll have one very happy boy. %8F Bear's ideal home would include: 'ۢ A fenced yard, acreage, or plenty of opportunities to explore outdoors 'ۢ An active family who enjoys hiking, walking, camping, or simply spending time outside 'ۢ Someone who appreciates intelligent dogs and enjoys continuing their training 'ۢ Another playful dog would be a wonderful bonus, but isn't required Bear isn't looking for someone who simply wants a dog. He's looking for someone who wants a partner to share life with. Somewhere out there is a person who's been hoping for a dog exactly like Bear-a loyal companion, an adventure buddy, and a best friend. We know that home is out there. We just have to help him find it. If you think Bear might be your perfect match, we'd love to hear from you. %9D%A4%8F
