Canterbury A764407 1 Year Old Male Australian Shepherd Mix Needs Rescue By 7/31/2026 Canterbury is an approximately 1 year old male Australian Shepherd mix that was picked up by Animal Control Officers the night of 6/20/26 after being abandoned in a local Dog Park along with 2 other dogs. Unfortunately, Canterbury was involved in a bite to the responding Animal Control Officer following his impound. After loading the dog into their truck and placing him into a kennel compartment Canterbury bit the officer on the palm of their hand after loading him and removing the slip lead. The responding Animal Control Officer reported no other behavior concerns with Canterbury or the other dogs he was impounded with prior to the bite incident. Canterbury has presented himself receptive out of kennel with staff/volunteers, as well as playful with other dogs while at the shelter.
