About Homer

Homer is a 9-yr-old Siberian Husky (born Valentine's Day 2017) and has been my best friend for nearly his entire life. I brought him home at 5 weeks old from Charlotte, NC, and a few months later we made the cross-country drive to Washington together. He was with me before I met my husband and has been a special part of my life. Homer is goofy, affectionate, energetic, and full of personality. He loves walks, hiking, exploring, and being outside (but is not a fan of water or baths!). He would love being someone's adventure buddy. We are looking for an experienced, loving home where Homer can be the focus. He would do best as the only pet in a home without young children. Homer has developed resource guarding and reactivity over the years, and after a recent bite incident involving another dog, we no longer feel our home with a crawling baby is the right fit. Our priority is finding Homer a home where he is understood, loved, and cared for.
