About Goldie

Meet Goldie, a 10 YO, 12-pound, precious girl who came to our rescue after her owner passed away. She is hearing impaired, but not completely deaf. She's been on ear medications for a longtime infection that have improved things and she can hear loud sounds if close enough. She should be approached from the front if you want to pet her as she can get startled from behind. Goldie is a very friendly, happy dog who likes attention, belly rubs, and wants to be close to you i.e. sitting or lying at your feet or in your lap. She has a cataract in one eye but otherwise has good vision and her teeth are in great shape. She can track people and objects well and responds to hand motions also. Goldie loves to crawl on her belly towards you with her tail wagging and giving you a big smile. She absolutely loves to be outside running around and playing and adores car and golf cart rides. She is house/potty trained and will alert you with a whine when she needs to go outside. She's also leash trained and enjoys her walks. She'll go into a crate, but cries until you let her out. Goldie is being fostered with another dog around her size whom she enjoys playing with. She would be great with an individual who has lots of time to be with her, or an active family with kids. A canine companion would be recommended or opportunities for her to regularly play with other dogs. Would you be Goldie's truly forever home?
