Yara has been a very beloved member of our family since she was a puppy. She is my daughters, but many of us are very attached to her. Recently, my daughter had a baby. There is some concern that Yara might harm the baby. Some of us think she might be fine with training, but my daughter feels that she needs to be 100% sure. She does not feel completely sure and is not 100% comfortable. It is very difficult for us to give her up. So, although several of us are trying to find a way to keep her, the other family members all have cats and/or small dogs, so we are thinking we have to find a home that would be a mutual blessing for Yara and the new family. We are fostering her ourselves while praying for the right home for her. She has been an indoor dog. She prefers women but loves most men after meeting them but sometimes needs to get used to them. We are not sure how she would be with older children. She does bark if someone comes to the door. She is very loving. She does need some training especially with walks. She will often try to chase small animals. She is perfectly potty trained, never has accidents. She has had others dogs around her in the home in the past, but it has been quite a few years since actually living with another dog, so very possibly needs to be slowly introduced. I am very happy to discuss honestly with anyone who feels they might love to try to give Yara a very loving home and doesn't mind working with her to make a transition. I feel so sure she would be a blessing to someone.
