About Murphy

Murphy is 11 years old and still very healthy and has good energy. He is reactive to other dogs and would need to be the only pet in his new home. Murphy would do best in a home that doesn't have young children or toddlers. He has no problem with kids of any age however young children often don't understand how to interact with a dog and Murphy may feel threatened by some of their behaviors. Children aged 5 and up would likely be best and he would love any attention they would give him. We have a three year old who Murphy loves as she is very respectful to him and knows how treat him. He really loves people and enjoys playtime especially playing fetch with a ball. He likes being outside and going for short walks. He gets hot in the summer but shorter more frequent walks help him stay active throughout the day. I am happy to share more details about Murphy for anyone who is interested.
