About Peanut

Peanut is a 4-year-old neutered Chihuahua looking for a loving home. Peanut is affectionate and enjoys being close to his person. He loves to follow you around the house, keep you company, and cuddle on the couch. He has the classic Chihuahua personality: devoted, alert, and a little cautious with new people at first. Once he begins to trust you, he enjoys being near you and quickly becomes your little shadow. He appears to be mostly housebroken and has only had a few minor accidents while adjusting to a new home. He is food-motivated and enjoys exploring and sniffing around his environment. He does get along with other dogs and children as well. Peanut does experience some anxiety when left alone for extended periods and would thrive with someone who is home more often or able to provide consistent companionship. Like many small dogs, he does best with a consistent potty routine and frequent outdoor breaks. I believe he will continue to make great progress in a home that can provide a more predictable schedule than I'm currently able to offer. Peanut also recently had a veterinary wellness exam and is up to date on all his vaccines. He is healthy in the other aspects but he is currently overweight (15 pounds), so his new family should be prepared to continue helping him reach a healthier weight through appropriate diet and exercise. Rehoming fee will apply to ensure he goes to a good home, will come with a harness, food / water bowl, bed, pee pads, flea and tick prevention/ heartworm treatment (1 month supply) If you think Peanut might be the companion you've been looking for, I'd love you to contact me!!
