About Peetey

Peetey is named after the ' Little Rascals'TV show dog. His right face is more white than the left. so he has a very expressive face and highlighted puppy eyes. He loves to 'melt' in your lap. He is very comforted by people and comforting to people. He and his brother were found as strays at a rodeo arena in Arizona . St John's Dog Rescue fostered him to a guest dude ranch in the White Mountains of AZ. There he socialized with over 150 guests and workers. He played with the other 9 rescue puppies and 2 large adult ranch dogs. Peetey was DNA tested as 43% Pit Bull and Am Staf Terr. , 11% Husky . Very sweet, confident, likes to be with people, food oriented so easily trained. He has a soft-spot for the tiniest puppies and plays Peek-A-Boo and very gentle games with them. Caution would be that he does 'Resource guard' his food from other dogs. But not humans. If he is in a multi -dog family, he would need to be fed in a different location from the other dogs. He may also start to resource guard his favorite human from other dogs. He is very affectionate and loves to give kisses and be part of his human's life. He is confident but waits a few yards up the trail for the human to catch up. He is a good swimmer and adventuresome.
