PLEASE EMAIL STAFF ASAP if you can save him. The shelter does not open until 11AM on Saturdays so it's imperative that you connect with shelter staff before 8AM. This handsome, playful, pup came to the South LA shelter as a stray in April. Sadly, he had diarrhea resulting in kennel confinement for nearly 2 months without any outings! During that time he received his first negative note about being kennel stressed and has since displayed further decline by kennel life. CHI BLANCO is a regular playgroup player and has demonstrated the ability to get some of our softer, more timid dogs to play. He is an energetic, unaltered, male pup who frequently mounts other dogs in playgroup and has been hard to steer when mounting them. He has had a couple scuffles with some male dogs but has also played very well with other males. With handlers, this boy has been loving and affection When volunteers had him out, CHI BLANCO accepted pets, showed off his commands for treats, and loved chasing toys. He also would go in and out of the pool and splash pad often to cool down. The shelter groomer also bathed him and said CHI BLANCO was well-behaved, affectionate, and easy to get along with. He DIES TOMORROW 7/25 but only needs one person to be there for him. The shelter does not open until 11AM and his deadline is at 8AM so please make any adoption or foster request asap (by 5PM today, Friday).
