About Jett

Hi everybody! My name is Jett and I am about 10 months old, I am a Chi-Weenie mix! I was unfortunately not socialized in my previous home so getting used to new people has been a bit of a challenge for me, but with a little bit of time, LOVE, and patience I come around really well, although I am pretty shy in general! Since the first day I came to the shelter to now, it is like a night and day difference and I am doing much better. I have only been around adults but with patience and supervision I could potentially live in a home with kiddos, in the right environment. I am working everyday on leash training, I am more confident with other dogs but am doing better going out by myself! I am very smart and treat/ food motivated so learning new things just takes a little bit of patience! I was not kept inside a home so I am not house trained but I am very smart so as previously stated consistent work and positive reinforcement goes a long way but potty training will need work! I am healthy and only weigh about 15 lbs as of now, I am expected to get slightly bigger than I am now but no bigger than 20-25 lbs when I am fully grown. I love to play and am pretty energetic, chewing on toys or stuffed animals is my favorite activity, or running laps around everyone! I would love to have my second chance at life with a loving, patient family who doesn't mind giving me the proper time and space needed to adjust into my new home. I am super silly and have a very unique personality once I feel comfortable enough to share it with you. I would love to find my forever family before the cold comes around, I hope to see you soon!
