About Ranger

Hey guys! My name is Ranger and I am about 10 months old old, I am a Chi-Weenie mix! I was unfortunately not socialized in my previous home so getting used to people has been a new challenge for me, but with a little bit of time, LOVE, and patience I come around quick! Since the first day I came to the shelter to now, it is like a night and day difference, although I am still a little shy at first! I have never lived with children, but I love to play with them and have not had any issues with kids since being at the shelter, so with supervision at first I believe I could adapt to a home with kiddos in no time! I am working everyday on collar/ leash training, as well as potty training. I am very smart and treat/ food motivated so learning new things isn't too difficult! I was not kept inside a home so I am not house trained but I am very smart so as previously stated consistent work and positive reinforcement goes a long way! I am healthy and only weigh about 12 lbs as of now, I am expected to get slightly bigger than I am now but no bigger than 20 lbs when I am fully grown. I am super friendly and love to be in your lap once I have been able to adjust and get comfortable with you. I love to play fetch and chase after things, although I'm still getting used to bringing them back to you! I also love to snuggle and chew on stuffed animals. I would love to have my second chance at life with a loving, patient family who doesn't mind giving me the proper time and space needed to adjust into my new home. I would love to find a home before the cold comes around, I hope to see you soon!
