Name: River Age: 10 years Breed: Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler, 35 pounds Sex: Female (spayed) Location: Saline County, Arkansas River's owners are unable to continue to care for her, she needs a forever home to enjoy her retirement years. Vet Info: River is microchipped and spayed. She has glaucoma and does not allow the owners to put in drops so she will need a double enucleation. She has been completely blind for three years. She is current with her vaccinations but does not have a recent Heartworm test. River is reported to be in good health. Dog Info: River is a very sweet dog who loves attention, short walks and treats! She is trained to use a dog door. River is afraid of thunderstorms and will hide during them - she might also have an accident when afraid to go outside. River likes a routine and she likes to be alone. She does get along with other dogs but she does enjoy alone time. River lives with a 140 pound German Shepherd that she 'tolerates'. Owner states that the German Shepherd annoys her - it is all him, she is fine, but when he gets too annoying, she will growl at him to tell him to leave her in peace. River loves her short walks but most of the day she stays in bed sleeping.
