At approximately 115 pounds, he's a large, fluffy boy who doesn't quite realize just how big he is. In Toga's mind, he's the perfect lap dog and would happily spend his days leaning against his favorite person for attention and affection. Toga is playful, sweet-natured, and especially fond of anything fluffy. He enjoys spending time with his people and is always ready for a good treat. Like many intelligent Malamutes, Toga has a bit of a sense of humor and approaches training as a negotiation. If cookies are involved, he's eager to show off what he knows. Without a reward in sight, he sometimes develops a case of selective hearing. He is potty trained and walks on a leash, though he would benefit from additional leash training and consistent guidance. Toga is a strong, powerful dog who will thrive with someone experienced and confident in handling large breeds. Unfortunately, Toga has recently begun showing food-related aggression toward our other dogs, which has resulted in fights. Because of this, we believe he would be happiest and safest as the only pet in the home. He loves human companionship and would enjoy having a family that can dedicate time to him, provide regular exercise, and continue working with him on his training. Toga deserves a home where he can be the center of attention, receive the structure he needs, and share all of the love he has to give. For the right person or family, this big fluffy companion will be a loyal friend, devoted shadow, and constant source of entertainment.
