Hello! Rory is a 9 month old purebred German shepherd. She grew up with kids, cats, and another dog in the household and we NEVER had any problems. She is sweet, careful, kind, if not a bit rambunctious. She does not understand her size, and may sometimes accidentally step on feet or tails. She never means harm. She is very playful and full of energy. She needs to be exercised and challenged. She is still young, and intelligent, and she ants to learn. She knows her basic commands, is house broken and crate trained. Very food motivated. She does not resource guard, not her food or toys. While Rory is great in our home, as soon as she is taken out of it, or strangers enter, her anxiety gets the best of her. She shows aggression, raises her heckled and barks non stop. She does not trust strangers, she does not enjoy being in new places. She is comfortable with the familiar, but hates unpredictability. She has never hurt someone, but I am unsure if she would or not. I have never given her the chance to hurt anyone. But her aggression when she is anxious is evident, and I am not equipped to handle this. I am certain that this is fixable with confidence training, since there are 0 issues in her home with her family. But I cannot keep living away from people and things because I am scared she mighty hurt someone.
