Due to over-capacity at the shelter, great doggies are being euthanized, tragically. Crapshoot which dogs are chosen. Long Island is listed as an Alaskan Husky mix, but Rescue Me does not have such an option. He arrived at the shelter on June 23rd. Good size doggie, not too large, very handsome. He very much enjoys being petted, likes his treats, has good manners, not appear the jumpy type, and pretty good with his sit. The volunteers at the shelter rave about him. He has met dogs on leash at the shelter (both male and female) and has done well, has energetic play style. If have room in your home and heart for this cutie, PLEASE email! Long Island can also be fostered, besides adopt. If want to see other wonderful dogs, who are also in great need of finding a loving home, scroll down & click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', left-hand side. Come.
