About Fifi

Hellooo FCCR friends, my name is Fifi and I'm a 10 year old, 8lb Yorkie girl. I came from a local shelter and I've been through a lot in my little life, so I'm looking for someone with patience and a gentle hand who will take the time to earn my trust. It won't take long though - once I get to know you, I'm all kisses and I'll roll right over for belly rubs! My ideal human is female, and I bond quickly and deeply with my special someone. I'm very energetic and I love to play once I feel comfortable, and I do okay with other dogs - it just takes time and the right introductions. I actually do well at the dog park once I've had a chance to settle in! I'm mostly housebroken but do best with a consistent daily schedule. I'm crate-trained and feel safe there, but if a nice soft dog bed is available - especially in a corner or under a table - I won't say no. I travel well in the car in my crate, and bath time doesn't bother me. I haven't had much practice walking on a leash yet and I don't know what to do with a harness on, so I'll need someone willing to work through that with me slowly - and please watch the door, because I might dash out if given the chance! During my recent trip to the vet, I got my eye checked (you might notice it looks cloudy) and learned it's just cosmetic - no treatment needed - and I have some vision in it. I also lost a lot of teeth so while I still love my treats and squeaky toys (intensely - you have been warned), everything needs to be softer. I admit my table manners around food need a little polishing too. I know I come with a few quirks, but underneath it all is a sweetheart who just wants a person of her own. Could that be you?
