About Shadow & Bailey

Hi! We are Shadow and Bailey and we're a package deal! We are 7-year-old black cockapoo brothers (Shadow is 15lbs, and I'm 17lbs), and we've been bonded since day one. I'm sort of the ringleader around here, though it doesn't stop me from getting jealous the second Shadow gets a belly rub without me - in a flash I'll wedge himself right in, no matter how small the couch cushion is, until we've got a full dog pile going. That's kind of our specialty. We're couch dogs through and through, especially with our favorite human (foster Dad), and we take our nightly news and Jeopardy watching very seriously. We like our walks but we're not going to pretend we're marathoners - a nice stroll and some time exploring the fenced-in yard is plenty for us. We'll look out the front door when it opens, but neither of us has any interest in leaving without our people, and we come back the second we're called. Thanks for Foster Mom we're house trained now but we need a regular potty schedule to stay on track�'�|we will train you on our signals. We're easygoing, quiet (we only bark if something startles us), and food-motivated in the best way - treats are basically our love language and we are learning some doggie manners like sit before we get a treat. We share one big dog bed but we're not above sneaking into yours, and we'll wait patiently until you're actually awake before smothering you in kisses. I'm an extrovert; Shadow is a little shy meeting new people but he warms up once he gets to know you. He's scheduled for cataract surgery (in one eye) in August and we hope that will fully restore his vision. Being part poodle, we're both easy keepers when it comes to grooming - light shedders who tolerate brushing and eye cleaning just fine. We do ok with other dogs and cats�'�|we are so chill.
