About Sitka

My family member is having to rehome their dog due to some medical crises. My heart is broken that I can't take him, as he doesn't do well with cats. However, he is an amazing dog�'�|. he is almost 7 years old, an Alaskan Malamute. He is rambunctious, goofy, silly, loving, loyal, and one of the smartest dogs I have ever met. He was adopted at 4 years old as his previous family left him behind, and he was about to be euthanized at the humane society. Since then he has become such a wonderful, wonderful boy. He would do best in a home as the only animal (he likes to be the star), with someone who enjoys being active and home with him. He is a pack animal so he enjoys his humans and adores attention. I have been trying to get in touch with rescues specifically for his breed, but if anyone has any leads, I would much prefer for him to be placed with a new, loving owner. There would be an adoption fee, but it would happily be paid back to his maintenance with proper receipts. Feel free to reach out for more information, and share as you see fit.
