About Spangled

Meet Spangled - A Little Star Who Shines Brighter Every Day Every flag tells a story, and with siblings named Star, Banner, and Spangled, this sweet little boy proudly completes the trio. Just like the stars in the night sky, Spangled reminds us that even after the darkest storms, there's always something beautiful waiting to shine. When Spangled first arrived, life had not been kind to him. He was suffering from a severe case of ringworm, an eye infection (chlamydia), and was so incredibly malnourished that he had lost nearly all of his fur. In fact, the shelter initially believed he was a solid black female kitten because he was so underdeveloped. But with nutritious food, medical care, and lots of love, this resilient little boy has blossomed into the handsome mackerel tabby he was always meant to be. His striking black-and-gray striped coat continues to fill in more beautifully every day. While some kittens are determined to be the center of every wrestling match, Spangled is perfectly content taking life at his own pace. He enjoys playing with his foster friends, but he's much more interested in making friends than proving who's the toughest kitten in the room. His gentle nature makes him a wonderful companion for children, first-time cat owners, or anyone looking for a laid-back feline friend.
